This policy is written to accurately describe how this site actually handles information, and to reflect Quebec’s private-sector privacy law (Law 25) and Canada’s federal PIPEDA.
Scholars Society is a sole proprietorship based in Montreal, Quebec. Mehul Madan, the founder, is the person responsible for the information this site collects and can be reached at contact.scholarssociety@gmail.com for any privacy question or request.
This site does not run its own data-collection form. If you book a consult through Cal.com, we collect what that booking requires: your name, email address, and the time you select. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you choose to include in that email. We do not collect payment information through this site. Pricing and payment are discussed and arranged directly, never through a form here.
Information you submit is used only to respond to your inquiry, schedule a consult, and communicate about tutoring. It is not sold, rented, shared with third parties for their own use, or used for advertising.
Booking a consult uses Cal.com, a third-party scheduling service, which collects the name, email, and time you select in order to confirm the appointment. See Cal.com’s privacy policy for how they handle that data. A direct email goes through Gmail, and is subject to Google’s own privacy policy. This site’s fonts are served by Google Fonts, which may log standard request data (like IP address) from your browser when the page loads.
Inquiry details are kept for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you become a family we work with, for the ongoing tutoring relationship. If nothing comes of an inquiry, we will delete it on request (see “Your rights” below), and otherwise keep it only as long as reasonably useful for following up.
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and does not run third-party analytics at this time.
Under Quebec’s Law 25 and PIPEDA, you can ask, at any time, to see what information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, withdraw consent, or have it deleted. Email contact.scholarssociety@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are ever not satisfied with how a privacy request was handled, you can raise it with Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.
This site is intended for parents and guardians inquiring on behalf of a student. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children through this site’s forms.
If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change too. Significant changes will be reflected here directly.
